6 Fall Projects You'll Want to Make

Fall is my favorite season. I mean, after all, who doesn’t like a little pumpkin spice in their life?

AccuQuilt has you covered with lots of projects and dies that just scream fall, and I am going to share six of my favorites.

Favorite Fall Dies & Projects

1. GO! Sports Medley Die

Crisp evenings and football—what could be a better combination! The new GO! Sports Medley Die provides all sorts of inspiration. What about stitching up a banner supporting your favorite team! Or, if you have kids in sports, the GO! Bleacher Seat Project is sure to be a winner.

2. GO! Spider Web Die

For some spooky fall fun, the GO! Spider Web Die is sure to deliver. Be sure to follow the step-by-step directions for this BOB, or Block on Board die, to achieve perfect results. AccuQuilt has even added notches to help you line this block up perfectly.

You can create some great spooky projects, like the GO! Boo Spider Web Table Runner. Of course, with this table runner, you could easily applique a spooky spider from the GO! Halloween Medley Die or a cat from the GO! Cat & Bat Die to spice things up.

Think about quilting your project with some glow-in-the-dark thread to add even more fun.

The GO! Spider Web Die is “sew” versatile, and the GO! Clover Hollow Spider Web Quilt is why this die is one of my fall favorites. I love the way all the fabrics come together. It’s like looking through a kaleidoscope.

3. GO! Big Bowl Cozy Die

What better way to celebrate fall than with soup or chili? That’s right! Grab the GO! Big Bowl Cozy Die, and maybe a layer cake or two, and whip up some instant fall fun. The GO! Big Bowl Cozy is super quick to sew up. You can even use the die to cut your batting out.

These make thoughtful and useful gifts for friends and family, gift exchanges, and make a perfect hostess gift. Make sure your fabric, batting, and thread are 100% cotton if you intend for them to be used in the microwave.

4. GO! Bear's Paw 14" Finished Die

I feel like my list should contain a traditional choice. What better than the GO! Bear’s Paw 14” Finished Die!

First, who doesn’t like a 14” block? This is also the perfect die to take to a retreat as you can use any of the cutters - including the GO! Me. You will surely make lots of progress on your project quickly.

With two colors and some simple sashing, you can quickly and easily create a wall hanging like GO! Walking Bear Foot Wall Hanging or a throw to spice up your fall décor.

5. GO! Northwoods Medley Die

AccuQuilt has such great applique dies for fall that I had to include at least one. After much consideration, GO! Northwoods Medley Die made the cut; after all, I do live in Minnesota.

I love how the fall colors, simple geometric shapes, and applique shapes work together in this simple, but gorgeous quilt: GO! Wild in the Northwoods Quilt.

6. GO! Maple Leaf-8" Finished Die

And what would a list of favorite fall dies be without the GO! Maple Leaf-8” Finished Die? This pieced leaf goes together easily and accurately to make some great projects to add to your fall décor - including table runners, placemats, and wall hangings.

This BOB pairs perfectly with the 8” Qube as well—no math needed! Look how the different colors in the GO! Maple Leaf Table Runner Pattern and the GO! Falling Leaves Throw Quilt Pattern really change the look of the leaf.

Sometimes though, you really need to look at the shapes that come on your BOB. I designed the GO! Fall Into Christmas pattern using only the pieces on the GO! Maple Leaf BOB.

I was able to create some fun presents, complete with bows, as well as a great border using the stem piece to create a zig-zag frame.
