Fabric Cutter Die Maintenance

If you take care of your AccuQuilt fabric cutting dies, you can get hundreds, if not thousands, of cuts out of each one. Lynn Gibney suggests running a lint roller over your die to pick up small threads. Use AccuQuilt’s die pick tool to clean threads from corners and crevices in the die to keep it clean and maximize your cuts.

Extra Tips and Tools

Keep a small pair of scissors by your sewing machine to clip any pesky threads from your die. For an effortless way to separate chains, Eleanor keeps a Gypsy Cutting Gizmo by her ironing board. Eleanor’s tip for any quilt groups is to cut all your blocks out together on your AccuQuilt GO! then they’re all the same size and the whole quilt goes together easily.
