Sing and sew the Susannah block this week. We’re using 4 dies from the GO! Qube™ 9” Set: #2 Die-Squares, #6 Die-Square on Point, #8 Die-Rectangle, and #5 Die-Smaller Half Square Triangles. Use your favorite AccuQuilt fabric cutter to make cutting these shapes a snap.

Eleanor’s Tips Matching Up Dog-eared Triangles and a Jumper Scrap Reminder

Your dies have dog ears in place and using your favorite AccuQuilt cutter makes it easy to cut them perfectly so the dog ears match up. Remember your jumper scrap helps eliminate bunching fabric.

Steam It Out

Eleanor recommends using a quality steam iron. Her trick is to stretch and tweak the fabric to make sure the shapes fit and then give it a good steam pressing before sewing.

Tricky Squares on Point Made Easy

The square in a square is a popular block, but at 3-11/16-inch it’s an odd size. You’ll be so glad you have the die and your fabric cutter so you don’t have to cut it using a ruler and rotary cutter.
