Join us for a quilting adventure with the American Quilter's Society (AQS) and AccuQuilt! Every other month this year, AccuQuilt will be presenting a different free pattern for you to make alongside AccuQuilt's Cutting Expert, Pam Heller, and AccuQuilt's Creativity Expert, Erica Bottger.
For each quilt along, Pam and Erica will guide you step-by-step through the quilt-making process with special livestream events on Wednesdays at 12 PM CT. Be sure to register for each show on AccuQuilt's Event Page so that you don't miss quilting along with us! These events can be joined through the Vimeo link received in your AccuQuilt Event Reminder email, AccuQuilt's Facebook page and YouTube channel as well as the AQS Quilting Project Parade Facebook Group.
Quilt along with us and learn even more about the AccuQuilt system! You are also welcome to use traditional cutting methods, such as rotary cutting, if you prefer.
The first project for this year is the GO! Stars in the Crown Throw Quilt.

Be sure to share your fabric selection on social media with the hashtag #AQSews, including in the AQS Quilting Project Parade Facebook Group!
Traditional Cutting Instructions
The cutting instructions for each GO! Qube size are included in the pattern. For those of you wanting to use traditional cutting methods, please follow these cutting instructions:
1. From the background fabric, cut:
- Two squares at 12 5/8" x 12 5/8". Then, cut each square diagonally twice to make eight triangles (these are for Setting Triangles).
- Two squares at 9 1/4" x 9 1/4". Then, cut each square diagonally twice to make eight triangles (to create Quarter Square Triangle blocks).
- Two squares at 6 1/2" x 6 1/2". Then, cut each square diagonally once to make four triangles (these are for Corner Setting Triangles).
- Nine squares at 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". Then, cut each square diagonally twice to make 36 triangles (Shape 4 in the GO! Qube).
- 36 squares at 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" (Shape 2 in the GO! Qube).
2. From the green fabric, cut:
- 18 squares at 2 7/8" x 2 7/8". Then, cut each square diagonally once to make 36 triangles (Shape 5 in the GO! Qube).
3. From the medium pink fabric, cut:
- Four strips at 2 1/2" x Width of Fabric (WOF) for the binding.
- Two strips at 2 1/2" x 38 1/2" (for horizontal borders).
- Two strips at 2 1/2" x 34 1/2" (for vertical borders).
- Nine squares at 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" (Shape 6 in the GO! Qube).
- 36 squares at 2 7/8" x 2 7/8". Then, cut each square diagonally once to make 72 triangles (Shape 5 in the GO! Qube).
3. From the light pink fabric, cut:
- Two squares at 9 1/4" x 9 1/4". Then, cut each square diagonally twice to make eight triangles (to create Quarter Square Triangle blocks).
