It's summer and we've got new Studio dies that will have you ready to beat the heat by spending time with your sewing machine - like you needed another reason. We're so excited about this release. If you know AccuQuilt, you know we are focused on both cutting time so you can quilt more and giving you better cuts for better quilts. This month's new dies do not disappoint. We're introducing a new Block on Board for the Studio and Setting Triangles in five different sizes.

Is that all you needed to hear? Click here to order yours now or read on for a closer look at each of these dies!

Studio Pineapple-12" Finished

Thanks to the popularity of the GO! Pineapple-10" Finished die, we're releasing the Studio Pineapple-12" Finished (50176). Now you can create this traditional block at an even bigger size. As with all our Block on Board dies, every shape you need to make one complete block is on one board. Because the Studio can cut up to eight layers at a time, a single pass through the Studio 2 fabric cutter will cut all the shapes needed for two 2-color, 3-color or 4-color blocks. The design is perfect for stash busting and includes seam allowance and dog-eared corners for easy, accurate piecing - no paper piecing or trimming needed!

Studio Setting Triangles

Our Studio Setting Triangles come in five different sizes: 6", 8", 9' 10" and 12":

That means you can create an on-point pineapple quilt with both the Studio Pineapple-12" Finished and Studio Setting Triangle-12" Finished!

The addition of the Studio Setting Triangles is so exciting for AccuQuilt. As mentioned, we love to help all levels of quilter with accuracy and efficiency, but we also want to encourage skill development. After all, pushing your quilting techniques is easier than ever when AccuQuilt makes cutting fabric painless. One challenge on the list of many quilters is the on-point quilt. These quilt patterns set blocks at 45° diagonal instead of horizontal or vertical. Setting triangles are the triangles on the outside edges and corners, like below:

When blocks are organized like this, it often means the straight of grain is set on the bias or diagonal, which means it's more susceptible to stretching. Setting triangles add stability to the outer edges of the quilt, however it's critical they are cut on the lengthwise grain so the straight of grain is set on what will be the two outside edges. The math required to get this perfect recipe is intimidating, even for experienced quilters. The Studio Setting Triangles are designed to simplify the numbers and accurately cut both sides and corners on the lengthwise grain.

Get More Out of Your BOBs

Our Studio Setting Triangles will increase the number of quilt pattern possibilities! Any of your favorite 6", 8", 9", 10" or 12" blocks can now easily be placed on point. In addition to the Studio Pineapple-12" Finished die, there are so many BOB dies that can make impressive on-point quilts. Just imagine how stunning a Cleopatra's Fan pattern would be on point using the Studio Cleopatra's Fan-12" Finished Die (50863).
