Hey AccuQuilters! I’m Lori from Lori Miller Designs here to share the fun project I have been working on. I combined a BOB with a Qube! The Block on Board was the very fun GO! Morning Star-12" Finished die (55556). I then used the kite die shapes from the GO! Qube 12” Block Companion Set-Angles (55791) for the alternating blocks. The resulting graphic throw quilt creates clever medallion shapes with a striking Morning Star center.
Ahhh, spring. It has been a long time coming here in the midwest, but a few tulips were blooming this morning so I just had to share them with you. Terri here, from Lizard Creek Quilting join along with me as I show you how I gave the GO! Morning Star block a fresh modern vibe. Also an unexpected way to use the limited edition GO! Nautical Medley die.
Depending on when you read this, Mother's Day is approaching or already here and what better way to honor the women who are a part of and influenced our quilting journey than by telling their stories. We created a Mother's Day Facebook event page where we asked quilters and quilt-lovers to tell us about their introduction to the art of sewing/making and how they are passing their passion on. We received so many amazing pictures and anecdotes of quilt histories and quilting experiences. Warm your heart with these anecdotes while we're safely social distancing.
Half square triangles are so important in quilting and a favorite among many quilters. Learn from GO! Getter Emily of Handmade Emily Jane how to make perfect half square triangles (HSTs) every time with the AccuQuilt fabric cutting system. Hint: This is perfect for those of you who just want to chain stitch the day away!
