Pay it Forward: Quilt the World 2022

We often find ourselves working tirelessly on quilt after beautiful quilt. We make them for ourselves, for our family, and our friends. After all, nothing quite compares to the comfort of a homemade quilt. In fact, wrapping yourself up in a quilt is like receiving a big, warm hug from a loved one.

It’s almost as amazing to feel that quilted hug as it is to give that gift to someone. What if you could offer that same amazing comfort to someone all year long?

You can.

Covering the World in Quilts

Starting in January 2022, AccuQuilt is partnering up with Moda Fabrics and Baby Lock in a pay-it-forward campaign called Covering the World: One Quilt at a Time.

Quilters and designers from AccuQuilt and Moda Fabrics are on a quest to donate their time and quilts to a charity of their choice, and we’re inviting you to join us on this big quilting adventure! Every week in 2022, one person from our teams will donate a quilt to a charity of their choice.

Join the quilt quest on social media by following the #QuiltTheWorld2022 hashtag on Instagram or by joining the Covering the World Facebook group to see everyone's donations and to share your donation journey as well.

How Do I Participate in #QuiltTheWorld2022?

It’s super easy! Just follow these steps and you’ll be on your way to making a huge difference in someone’s life:

STEPS

• Choose your favorite charity.
• Contact your charity to ensure they are accepting donations.
• Choose your pattern/fabric/die and make your quilt.
• Call your local longarm to see if they do free quilting on quilts being donated.
• Get your donation quilted.
• Take a photo of your donated quilt.
• Share it on Instagram as a public post OR our Facebook group using #quilttheworld2022
  • In your social post, share your pay-it-forward journey. Everyone would love to hear about your charity, why you chose them, and what pattern/fabric/die you used.

You can enter as many times as you like – there’s absolutely no limit! We want to make a BIG difference in the lives of those who need comfort. So, you can donate one time or once a month – whatever you like.

There is one exciting thing we need to mention. The more you donate to #QuiltTheWorld2022, the more chances you have to win one of our fantastic prizes!

PRIZES

• Monthly prize valued at $200 ($100 Moda Fabrics, $100 AccuQuilt Rewards)
• A 6-month prize valued at $500 ($250 from Moda & AccuQuilt)
• Grand prize valued at $3,000 (Baby Lock Sewing Machine, $1000 Moda & $1000 AccuQuilt)
