Hi everyone! This is Marjorie from blue feather quilt studio, and I want to share a machine embroidery project using the GO! Alphabet die set that is fun, easy and one that you can personalize in as many ways as there are words. If you love word quilts, but not paper piecing, then the possibilities using the AccuQuilt GO! Alphabet and an embroidery machine will have you more than a little excited. This is so much fun that I have already made baby name quilts with the alphabet for my new twin grandchildren. And my head is bursting with ideas: what about a quilt that says “Just Quilt It” in the middle surrounded by sampler blocks, or a rag quilt with a name embroidered as one letter in each block. Here's one of the baby quilts I made with the letters and other AccuQuilt GO! shapes.

A sewing machine is an essential part of the quilting process, so you’ll need to know the types of things to look for when purchasing a sewing machine as well as how to thread it and wind a bobbin properly. But the important thing to know as it relates to quilting is how to sew a perfect ¼” seam. Sewing a consistent ¼” seam is the most critical element in making sure your quilt top comes together nicely because if that seam is off, your entire quilt will be crooked.
