Fun Fact: I’m a veteran of the U.S. Army. Much of my time, while serving, was spent away from the comforts of home. I served three years on combat tours, one in South Korea, and tons of time on the road training.

Celebrate Fall Quilt Festival From Home!

Andrew Lee, of Combat Quilter, is a relatively new person to quilting, but his story is fueled by love and resiliency.
Andrew Lee is a U.S. combat veteran who discovered that quilting helps him cope with his symptoms of PTSD. It also allows him to create quilts for other veterans, through Quilts of Valor, who have been touched by war.
He is currently being featured in the AccuQuilt gallery. Join us as we learn more about this quilting servicemember.
Teresa Coates' quilts show how mixing your textiles can really bring a quilt to life. Her gallery exhibit makes you feel like you are on a road trip by showcasing various landmarks throughout the country. There is something special about traveling and experiencing new places and Teresa likes to put a new spin on what she experiences by translating it into a quilt. We were excited to feature her work in our gallery and be able to sit down and virtually chat with her about the travels that inspired these quilts. Watch the video to see her exhibit and read below for a one on one interview.
Emily Bailey's beautiful designs prove that scrappy and modern quilts do go together. We, along with all quilters, love to see creative uses for fabric stashes, especially when we're all amidst organizing our spaces and looking forward to upcycling and recycling materials. There's a history told through scrappy quilts and as Emily put it, "hold hidden quilts". We were so excited to feature her work in our gallery and happy that we could virtually chat about her quilting journey. Watch the video to see her exhibit and read below for a one on one interview.
Many on the AccuQuilt team admired Kimberly Bennefield's work for quite sometime. Her social media is filled with bright colors, edgy graphic elements and beautiful modern approaches to traditional favorites. Just about any quilting technique you can dream of, she's given it a try and knocked it out of the park. So we were thrilled when she was interested in appearing in our gallery and joining our GO! Getter team.
