Each year, Island Batik chooses a team of talented quilters and designers to act as their ambassadors. To kick off the annual program, Island Batik Ambassadors are sent a box filled with goodies to help them create monthly projects. For 2019, we decided to join in on the fun and collaborated with Island Batik to help these artists build truly awesome work.

Double Hearts is a quilt of, well, hearts! At 40" square, it is just perfect to use as a sweet baby quilt, a signature quilt to celebrate a birthday or wedding anniversary or just a wonderful surprise gift for your beloved.
When the team at AccuQuilt asked me last month to try out their AccuQuilt GO! machine I was excited about the chance to play and see if I felt any different about this product versus other fabric cutting machines I have tried in the past. I am very familiar with die cutting, having worked on a design team for a while and also having the opportunity to try other brands over the years. Not totally sure if this would be any different, any more helpful or useful than the other brands I am familiar with (hint, it's different and so so good!).
If asked to choose, I would guess that everyone has a different favorite part of quilting. For some it's cutting, for others it's piecing. I have several friends who love the quilting aspect. I haven't heard anyone say basting is their favorite though... ;) For me, it's definitely designing. I have dreamt up many quilts, but sometimes I've been intimidated by the level of detail or amount of cutting required for the design. Or even just the repetition of cutting so many tiny pieces. When AccuQuilt contacted me last month and asked if I'd like to review their GO! Fabric Cutter, I jumped on the opportunity. I've been using the AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter for a few weeks now, and I'm excited to report my thoughts.
