Hi, Everyone! My name is Jessica Dayon. I recently joined the GO! Getter team and had the opportunity to try out the Ready. Set. GO! Ultimate Fabric Cutting System. In case you haven’t heard of me before, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a stay at home wife and mom with my four young children.
Posts about wall hanging and more.
Hi, It’s Marjorie Busby from bluefeatherquiltstudio.com to tell you about a fun wall hanging that I made. First, you have to know that this was a complete experiment. And it did take three tries before it worked the way I envisioned. It’s an idea that’s been floating around in my head for a very long time and came from a vacation visit to Waikiki where there were small wall hangings in the elevators of our hotel. Several times a day the wall hangings were changed with a greeting suitable for the time of day.
This is Marjorie Busby from bluefeatherquiltstudio.com, and I love, love, love the GO! QUBE. My first reaction was, “Why would I need this when I already have almost every die that AccuQuilt makes?” The answer was obvious before the package was hardly opened. With the QUBE, everything needed is at your fingertips. Cutting the exact number of pieces for each block is a breeze. It is like the BOB dies, except that there are an infinite number of blocks that can be made using this one set of dies. And best of all, the 4 x 4 patch blocks can be made in any size: I chose the 9" QUBE and love that I can make 4 x 4 patch blocks in that size. It opens up a whole new world of cutting for me. The more time I spend with it, the more I love it for both piecing and embroidery.
Hello! This is Erin from AveryLaneSewing.com and I'm excited to share another quilting tutorial for the AccuQuilt blog. Using the Drunkard's Path quilt block, set on point, I created this modern tulip quilt block. Stacking 3 blocks on top of each other, it makes a very fresh and pretty wall hanging. Our winters are very grey here in the Pacific Northwest, so any sign of spring is very welcome!
