Top 10 AccuQuilt GO! Dies of 2019

It's officially 2020! Happy new year, quilters. We had an exciting 2019 filled with more patterns, new connections with quilting experts, GO! Quilt updates and of course, brand new products. Every year, we reflect on all the things you, our customers, have been asking for and what it is you love. Part of that reflection means looking at the top dies of the previous year. We thought it would be helpful if we shared our findings with you, too.

GO! Baby Bib

We're not surprised this is a favorite. The GO! Baby Bib (55864) cuts three complete, 2-sided bibs in one pass through an AccuQuilt GO! or GO! Big fabric cutter. The curves of a baby bib can be hard to cut accurately with a rotary cutter, and this die simplifies all that so you can focus on the ways you want to embellish. Emily Tindall embroidered an intricate floral design with monograms while the Planned Improv pattern uses the die to cut a perfect bib shape from cute flannel scraps.

GO! Burp Cloth 

Just like the GO! Baby Bib, the GO! Burp Cloth (55863) cuts three, 2-sided burp cloths in one pass through a GO! or GO! Big. Also just like the bib, because the burp cloths are now so easy to cut, you can focus on personalization. For instance, GO! Getter Jessica Dayon created a sweet baby bib with lace trim and another little rustic bib with a tie shape, then created burp cloths that match each.

GO! Hattie’s Choice-8" Finished

The GO! Hattie’s Choice-8" Finished (55220) combines diamonds with kite shapes for a bursting star shape. With the right color placement, the block takes on so many different looks. The GO! Hattie's Choice die a Block on Board^® (BOB^®), which means all the shapes needed to make this block are on one board. In one pass through any AccuQuilt GO! fabric cutter, you can cut one 3-color, 8" block.

GO! Storm at Sea

Every quilter has one of those lists of quilts they want to make and usually, the blocks are complicated to cut. The illusion of curves in the Storm at Sea block often makes these lists and the GO! Storm at Sea (55221) die is also a BOB that simplifies cutting all those pieces. Denise Looney paired the GO! Storm at Sea block with a Snail's Trail for a striking pattern.

GO! Chimney Sweep

Simple in construction but impressive in appearance, the GO! Chimney Sweep (55222) is a great BOB for a beginner. In one pass through a GO! Baby, GO! Me, GO! or GO! Big fabric cutter, you can cut a 2-color, 10" block.

GO! Glorified Nine Patch 

The GO! Glorified Nine Patch (55557) is the BOB die for a quilter who is ready to take on curves. It fits all AccuQuilt GO! fabric cutters and features a gentle inverted curve that when placed together with the right color placement can give the appearance of a full circle. Melanie Call used a unique color placement technique and a combination of two blocks for the beautiful glorified nine patch quilt pattern above.

GO! Classic 2" Alphabet Uppercase Set 

Some of the most versatile of the AccuQuilt dies are the alphabet appliqué shapes. The latest addition to the collection is the GO! Classic 2" Alphabet Uppercase Set (55559), which cuts two-inch tall, capitalized letters with a serif. The letters are perfect holiday projects, like Terri Vanden Bosch's GO! GO! Morning Star-12" Finished

The GO! Morning Star-12" Finished (55556) is an intricate BOB that makes a beautiful mandala-esque block. It's great for those with confidence in their points or a beginner who wants to practice. As with all BOB dies, the GO! Morning Star die eliminates dog ears so there's no need to trim and accounts for the quarter inch seam allowance. The GO! Morning Star Contemporary Quilt places the block on point for an added challenge and spectacular look.

The GO! Crazy Quilt-6" Finished (55226) is a scrap busting BOB die that fits both the GO! and GO! Big fabric cutter. Popular demand inspired the addition of this die to our collection, so we aren't surprised that so many quilters jumped at the chance to own this one. The GO! Crazy Quilt die cuts five layers of fabric in one pass and features 10 unique shapes that fit together to make a six-inch block. So, in two passes through the cutter, you get 10 blocks in which each shape is a different fabric for a truly scrappy look.

GO! Scottie Dog

This appliqué die is for all the dog lovers out there! The GO! Scottie Dog (55224) is the perfect little silhouette of a Scottish terrier, which can be a challenge to cut with a rotary cutter or scissors. The die board fits all GO! cutters and comes with FREE embroidery files for three different stitches (satin, blanket and motif).
