Seventh Block of the Week by Eleanor Burns
Learning the School Girl’s Puzzle No. 2 Block with Eleanor Burns and AccuQuilt’s GO! is as easy as A-B-C
We’re getting nostalgic this week with School Girl’s Puzzle Number 2 quilt block. We’re using dies #2, #5, and introducing die #3 from the GO! Qube™ 9” Set, the large half square triangle. Using your favorite AccuQuilt fabric cutter makes it quick and easy to cut these pieces out perfectly.
With quilting guru Eleanor Burns talking you through assembling, sewing, and pressing, you’ll see just how easy this quilt block can be. It should take about 20 minutes to get this block all sewed together. Most of that time is just getting organized!
Perky Patches and Jumper Scraps – Eleanor’s Tips of the Week
A good piece of advice from Eleanor is to sew on the side that allows you to go right through the stitches, which will give you a smooth look once you turn it over for pressing. Another pro tip is to be sure to use a jumper scrap. This keeps the material from bunching when you get started sewing.
