This week’s quilt block has a nautical flag look to it. It includes three shapes: square inside a square, flying geese, and half-square triangles. Previous Block of the Week episodes have taught you these, so now it’s just playing with colors and patterns and finishing your sampler quilt.

Finishing Instructions

We’ve included some finishing instructions for each of the four quilt sizes. This handy sheet includes directions for cutting out your lattice/sashing strips, cornerstones and binding. It has recommended backing fabric and batting sizes plus sewing directions for laying out, quilting and finishing your block of the week quilt. We’ve even included a video with inspiration from Eleanor and Lynn to finish your quilt.
