Jewels and Vines Table Runner – A Quilting Tutorial

Greetings fellow quilters and sewists! My name is Belinda Karls-Nace and I'm a quilting and needlework designer, creator, finisher, and teacher (and the author of the Samplings from a Blue Ribbon Girl blog). Today, I am back as an AccuQuilt blogger to talk about the GO! Qube 9" Companion Set-Classics and share my Jewels and Vines Table Runner project tutorial.

The GO! Qube Companion Sets have finally arrived and they were definitely worth the wait. They complement the GO! Qube Mix & Match Blocks perfectly – adding a Chisel, a Signature Block, and a Drunkard’s Path to your favorite GO! Qube size(s)! Just like the GO! Qube Mix & Match Blocks, the GO! Qube Companion Sets are available in four sizes: 6”, 8”, 9”, and 12”. Adding a GO! Qube Companion Set to your GO! Qube opens up a whole new world of quilt block combinations, giving you the ability to create a limitless number of blocks!

This quilted table runner project features the GO! Qube Mix & Match 9” Block, along with the GO! Qube 9" Companion Set-Classics to create two traditional-style quilt blocks (feel free to adjust the size by using your favorite GO! Qube and Companion Set). You will also want to have a GO! Qube 9" Companion Set Classics-72 Block Patterns Booklet handy – this FREE downloadable pattern booklet will give you detailed instructions for piecing the two quilt blocks featured in this project.

For my table runner, I decided to work with fabrics a little out of my comfort zone - rich jewel tones with metallic accents and a bit of an Asian feel...but this runner would look fabulous in batiks or holiday prints or even solids….and, to make things easier, this quilting tutorial is fat quarter friendly! So go pick out fabrics that match your current decor/mood and let’s get started…I'll show you exactly how to make this quilted table runner...
