Many of us associate a good quilt with cozy activities like reading, knitting/crocheting, watching television or just lounging. You probably even have favorite quilts for specific activities - a specific bed quilt for sleeping, that worn in throw quilt for relaxing, etc. Right now, there's a lot of advice on starting new hobbies or tackling a honey do lists, but it's just as important to take care of you, so why not pull up a quilt and your favorite past time.
Plan a Picnic
If the weather is nice, why not take lunch outside? Grab a quilt and enjoy nature, even if it's just in your own backyard. If you're loving the weather, bring your favorite cozy activity, a deck of cards or a wind proof board game.
Rethink Your Home Decor
Our homes are our everything right now which means most of us aren't even stepping out of them for more than an errand here and there. If this has left you feeling a little restless, consider redecorating a few spaces. You might not be able to shop for new things, but you can breathe new life into what you already have, including those staple quilts that have their usual spots. Mix it up and move quilts to new places or bring out your seasonal favorites. Take a few knick knacks from one room and move them into another. If you can, rearrange a few pieces of furniture.

Tell the Story
Quilts almost always come with a story and each and every one deserves to be told. Take stock of your quilts and what inspired the fabrics or design and write it out. Better yet, plan a virtual show and tell with your family or quilting friends to tell the tale. If you can't do a video call, send images to one another and just hop on the phone. We're all feeling a little more lonely nowadays, so what better way to enjoy your quilt than over some great conversation.
Plan a Photoshoot
Quilts are art and they deserve their time in the light. Why not stage a photoshoot where they're centerstage? Find the room with the best lighting or take them outside in the sun, grab some props or rely on the beauty of your home decor or nature to frame your shot. This would be perfect to share on Facebook or Instagram with the quilt's story!
Build a Blanket Fort
A collection of quilts means an abundance of blanket fort opportunity. This is the perfect activity for those who are working with cooped up kids or those who are just young at heart. Work together on a structure you can take cover (and comfort) in for the afternoon. Plan fort-worthy activities like coloring, reading and crafts or plan a slumber party for the evening with snacks and a movie.
